Well, it is Valentine’s Day. For some, it’s just a Tuesday. Others would call it a boring day. For someone like me who needs to get over this social science thing-y on my head, it is a time for light songs. When I say “light,” I mean songs without toughness and invisible power that pushes you to get that razor and sharpen it on your wrist. Let’s start..
1. Drive By (Train) – The song is easy on the ears, catchy and yes, it makes you smile and lets you chant the chorus after hearing it. “Oh I swear to you, I’ll be there for you, this is not a drive by” … and goes the drumbeats. I know you want to make that stomp. Do it, baby!
2. Good Feeling (Flo Rida) – The first voice that you hear is that of Etta James. And yes, it was sampled beautifully.
3. Alone Again (Alyssa Reid ft Jump Smokers!) – This song is supposed to be lonely, but the rapping part just makes it a happy beat for the ears.
4. Princess of China (Coldplay ft Rihanna) – A great collaboration from two big artists. You can’t go wrong when the lady starts to belt her way through the composition of Chris Martin’s gang.
5. Respect (Melanie Amaro) – Yes, she is the X-Factor singer. Try listening to the song for one round and I am sure that you’ll be singing “R-E-S-P-E-C-T” after that. Laughing out loud while trying to spell respect in a song.

I lveo the song by Train. I wonder if it has anything to do with tomorrow being National Train Day. Hmmm. lol
